General Information


Climate

The climate in the area is subtropical with warm summers and mild, dry winters.

Summer is from September to March with average temperatures between 24°C and 38°C.

The warmest months are usually December, January and February. Summer is typically the rainy season with warm days and nights and occasional thunderstorms. Average summer rainfall is 500mm.

Winter is from April to August with average temperatures between 7°C and 24°C.

The coolest months are usually June and July. Winter is dry with generally very moderate daytime temperatures but cool early mornings and evenings. The campfire typically provides adequate heat for the evenings activities.


What to bring

In order to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, we suggest you consider bringing the following:

  • Bush clothing (hat, bush jacket, and in winter warm clothes, beanies and gloves)
  • Comfortable walking shoes (for bush walks)
