The daily activities that we provide include the following:

We take guests out in open game drive vehicles allowing unobstructed views in all directions, and we will travel off-road for any special sightings, allowing one to view animal behavior and interaction more closely. This is a significant advantage over the Kruger National Park where visitors and operators are required to use closed vehicles and have to remain on the road. There are two game drives a day that are included in your package.
Generally the best time to view game is in the early morning or late afternoon.
The first game drive leaves soon after sunrise with one stop during the drive where guests enjoy coffee and tea in the bush (again this is an advantage over the Kruger Park where only designated sites can be used).
The second game drive leaves late afternoon. We stop for sundowners where guests can watch the sun set with something cold of your choice in hand. We continue thereafter with a night drive on our way back to the lodge, aided by the use of a spotlight.

If guests prefer to do a guided bush walk instead of a game drive, this will easily be accommodated. It is led by a professional and highly experienced guide. The emphasis of a bush walk is not on finding big game but creates an opportunity to learn about the detailed and very fascinating aspect of bush ecology, much of which cannot be observed from a vehicle.
* Note that the minimum age requirement for guided bush walks is 12 years old

While we would always take advantage of any special game activity night or day, a typical schedule at Senalala Game Lodge would be as follows:
* Note that times vary due to seasonal changes, weather conditions and also depending on the group’s needs.
